Garden Series

As an avid gardener, I try to compose my paintings of local garden plants so that the spaces around and between the blossoms, stems and leaves are as interesting as the plants themselves. The following images combine media: watercolor to achieve precise edges and pastel to recreate the opaque, satin-like quality of the flowers.
